cyber security session
Program Introduction
On each training day, Dr. Shahzeb Malik, Member (IT) delivered a comprehensive lecture on “The importance of Cyber Security Threats”, covering the seriousness of cyber risks and their consequences on government operations. He emphasized the need for proactive security measures, strong password policies, system integrity, regular security updates, and awareness for all staff.
During these sessions, participants were also briefed on various forms of computer crimes, including:
- Concepts and Benefits of a Connected Society
- Data Exfiltration
- Network Security
- Spoofing and Phishing Scams
- Cloud Computing Outages
- DoS and DDoS Attacks
- Financial Transaction Thefts and other malicious activities
