Program Introduction
The Science and Information Technology Department, Government of Sindh has recently organised two consecutive training sessions on “The Enterprise Systems - Benefits to the Public Sector Work Environment” by Dr. Shahzeb Malik (Member IT) which was designed to provide senior officers of the Government of Sindh with a comprehensive understanding of how integrated enterprise systems can strengthen public-sector governance, improve administrative efficiency, and support informed decision-making.
In an increasingly digital and data-driven environment, enterprise systems enable government departments to streamline workflows, integrate information across functions, enhance transparency, and optimise the use of public resources.
The sessions also focused on the practical application of these systems within the public-sector workplace, highlighting their role in improving coordination, service delivery, accountability, and organizational performance. Also explored key considerations for effective adoption, including change management, data management, digital governance, and institutional capacity, with the objective of equipping senior officers to better understand and leverage technology for more responsive, efficient, and citizen-centered public administration.
The sessions also include discussions with nominated representatives from various government departments followed by a group photo with the organisers.
