ONLINE EDUCATION PLATFORM FOR SINDH

The main objective of developing the online Education Platform for Sindh is to make formal education accessible through an online digital medium that ensures tracking, quality, and ease of use, primarily for intermediate college-level students in Sindh. However, the platform can also be used by college education at multiple levels and for diverse audiences.
The importance of this initiative becomes even more significant considering natural calamities, especially as observed during the COVID-19 pandemic, which halted the entire education system for more than a year and resulted in the loss of an academic year for students.
In addition, this initiative will help the Sindh Government explore innovative ways to reduce the dropout rate among students at the secondary and college levels.
Rising fuel prices are also making it difficult for students to commute and are causing them to spend a considerable amount on transportation.

Key Objectives

• To equip students of Government Colleges in Sindh with an online education platform having respective board’s approved curriculum courses with proctoring techniques, enhancing engagement and understanding using strategic embedded
  Questions, meaningful completion tracking, discouraging simply skipping the video to the end and Interactive Overlays.

  • To develop digital content studio at divisional level, in order to develop and professionally produce the online lectures.

  • Help students know their progress with real time assessment via online education platform.

  • Asses students, using different assessment tools, like quizzes, exams, assignments, essays, projects, application-based activities and peer review activities.

  • To make group of respective disciplines of lecturers who will respond the queries of students.

  • Incentive would be paid to those professionals who will record and be available on scheduled timings for interactive discussion with students through the online learning platform.

  • The use will be free of cost for all the college enrolled students and those who may be opting only for the online classes. For others the department will decide accordingly.

  The Online Education Platform for Sindh will have four main views:

Video Lecture Recording Studios:
These studios will feature a quiet, professional environment and be equipped with necessary equipment like computer, camera, microphone, lighting, recording/editing software, high-speed internet, and reliable electricity. The goal is to achieve high production value with professional-looking visuals and clear audio, using quality lighting and sound equipment. The video lectures will be clear, concise, and engaging, incorporating visuals, demonstrations, storytelling, and other effective teaching techniques.
To ensure a seamless learning experience, the production team will maintain a consistent style across all lectures. This approach will provide students with a high quality, professional learning experience from start to finish positioning the Online Education Platform for Sindh as a strong and recognizable brand.
