Sindh Enterprises Incubation Center at Divisional Headquarters
Sindh Enterprises Incubation Center at Divisional Headquarters
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Science & Information Technology Department has already initiated Sindh's first incubation center through an ADP scheme namely "Sindh Enterprise & Incubation Center (SEIC)" at the Youth Development Centre, Gulistan-e-Johar, Karachi, has received remarkable feedback from stakeholders across academia, industry, development partners, and aspiring entrepreneurs. Commendations have particularly highlighted the Government of Sindh's foresight in establishing a state-of-the-art facility that shows promise to become a flagship initiative for entrepreneurship development in Sindh Province.
In order to achieve optimal coverage and ensure inclusivity of youth and entrepreneurs across Sindh, it is now imperative to replicate this successful model across divisional headquarters, namely Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Larkana. The establishment of SEIC Divisional Headquarters is not just an expansionary move, but a strategic step toward creating a self-sustaining and resilient provincial economy that empowers its people at the grassroots level.
The Divisional SEICs will directly address this gap by creating region-specific hubs that can:
- Harness local talent and industries (agriculture in Sukkur, trade in Hyderabad, agro-based processing in Shaheed Benazirabad, livestock and handicrafts in Mirpurkhas, and driven enterprises in Larkana).
- Provide mentorship and technical training tailored to local contexts.
- Connect grassroots businesses to national and international funding channels.
- Foster social enterprises that directly contribute to local socio-economic upliftment.
PROJECT COST: 1297.489 Million
HEADQUATERS: Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Larkana.
